Rain! Rain! Rain!

We had a training walk planned with our team and Team: Sisters by Choice on Saturday. It was to be a 10 mile walk - from Amy's house to River Legacy and back. One of the girls parked her car at River Legacy so we'd have some bottled water and could take a break there. We were doing great. We were enjoying the walk. We knew rain was on it's way, but all reports were that it wouldn't be to our area until 10:00. We made it to River Legacy. We had walked about 6.5 miles at that point. We took a bathroom break and when we came out of the restrooms, we saw the darkness of the sky. It was coming - and it was coming FAST! We start walking back to the entrance of the park. The rain started coming down - just a little at first - but there was a strong wind. I wish I could have had a video of the three of us trying to put our ponchos on in the wind and rain. It surely was a hilarious sight! We were so grateful that one girl had left her car at the park. She was able to come and pick us up and take us back to our cars. The walk was cut short just a bit, but at least we weren't walking in the lightning that quickly started flashing!
